What does an AI consultant actually do?
An AI consultant connects business problems with suitable technology and a plan to use it. Our work can include a readiness review, interviews with your team, opportunity assessment, tool selection and a scoped pilot. The result should help you make a specific decision, rather than leave you with a general presentation about AI.
Do we need to build our own AI model?
Usually that is a question to investigate, rather than a starting assumption. An existing product, an API-based solution or a workflow using your current systems may be sufficient. We consider custom development when the job, data and expected value justify it.
How do you assess whether an AI idea is worthwhile?
We agree what matters before testing: for example, time spent on a task, the quality of a draft, the number of exceptions or the effort needed for review. We then use representative examples and compare the result with how the work happens today. A successful demonstration alone is not the whole business case.
How much does AI consultancy cost?
A focused review of one process is different from an organisation-wide roadmap. We agree the people involved, questions to answer, evidence to review and deliverables before pricing the engagement. Any recommended implementation, licences or ongoing support are explained separately.
Can you implement the recommendations?
Yes. Dragon AI also builds business automations, custom software and AI applications, and connects existing systems. We can scope implementation after the strategy work, or provide a clear brief for your existing team or supplier.
Do you only work with businesses in Wales?
We are based in Pontyclun and work with businesses across the UK. Discovery and working sessions can take place remotely. Any on-site sessions are agreed as part of the scope.
